About The Job

The Teacher is expected to serve as a good role model to safeguard and promote the welfare, development and safety of our children at all times.  She should be observant and attentive to the needs of the children and adopting a holistic care approach by looking into the physical, education, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the children.

The Teacher is to ensure that she performs her job in compliance with The Salvation Army policies and procedures including the Territorial Child Protection Policy and all relevant government rules and regulations including those governing the Education Act, Malaysia.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of lesson plan to help each student achieve learning objectives and curriculum goals.  
  • Able to select and creatively use instructional methods and materials appropriate to students and learning activities.
  • Be responsible to the needs of the students and their safety at all times eg. during meals, bath time, rest time, recess, excursion etc. 
  • Supervise indoor and outdoor play and group activities.
  • Maintain stimulating, clean and appropriate environment within the class room at all times to encourage positive learning behaviour among the students. 
  • Record in the daily log book any changes in daily schedules, any incidents or other occurrences relating to assigned classes, and also to notify senior staff member on such matters.
  • Assist in fundraising projects and any other assigned projects.


Working Hours 

  • 48 hours work week
  • Monday to Friday: 7.30 am to 12.15 pm
  • Monday to Thursday:  1.30 pm - 5.45 pm
  • Friday : 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm
  • Saturday :  8.30 am - 2.30 pm
  • Flexibility in working schedule is required when necessary

  • Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education;
  • Teaching experience in a kindergarten will be advantageous.


  • Able to communicate well verbally and written.
  • Enjoys teaching to young children
